Fran has had first-hand experience going from a successful career in the federal government to reinventing herself in the next chapter of her life. In spite of her strong background in behavioral health and considerable practice in mentoring others, retirement was a challenge for her. However, she cares about helping people to help themselves, which is why she was drawn to coaching. Fran’s previous work also has enabled her to become a powerful and effective coach. As a division director in the federal government for 24 years, she helped professionals around the country develop programs to assist children and adults with mental illness. Fran has both master’s and doctorate degrees in public health from the University of California, Berkeley. She also holds certifications from the Coaches Training Institute, Retirement Options, the International Coach Federation and the Federal Government’s Internal Coaching Program. Fran has a private coaching practice and volunteers to develop a Village in her community that will help people age in place. Fran was even featured in The Town Courier for her prowess in Retirement Coaching.
